the floor / de vloer

The floor needed to be lightweight according to out stability engineer since the building was never meant to be a living area. So no “chappe” (concrete floor) for us. But we also needed to heighten the floor to get above the metal construction on the floor (that holds the roof together).. so the solution was a dry construction of 2.5 cm acoustic insulation, 15 cm of the filling and the a (fermacell) floorboard of 125mm  with 2 cm of woodfibre insulation attached to it.

Volgens onze stabiliteitsingenieur moesten we een lichte vloer leggen want onze zolder was nooit voorzien als leef/woon ruimte. Dus geen traditionele “chappe” voor ons. Maar de vloer moest ook 15cm verhoogd worden om boven ons metalen trekspant uit te komen (want dat houdt ons dak recht…). Dus de oplossing was een droge constructie van 2,5 cm akoestische isolatie, 15 cm van de vulkorrels en een (fermacell) plaat van 125mm met 2 cm houtvezel isolatie eronder.
